MythX Africa was created to help bridge that gap.

Inspired by a simple question—why do people around the world know fictional heroes like Spider-Man and Deadpool, but have never heard of African legends such as Sundiata Keita of Mali or Takura the Spirit Hunter of Zimbabwe?—MythX Africa reimagines African myths, legends, folklore, historical figures, and heroic narratives through animation and digital storytelling.

Our mission is to preserve, celebrate, and share Africa’s rich storytelling heritage in formats that resonate with modern audiences. By leveraging animation, film, digital media, and emerging technologies, MythX Africa aims to build a growing library of stories from all 54 African countries—stories of courage, resilience, innovation, leadership, spirituality, and community.

More than an animation project, MythX Africa is an edutainment platform dedicated to cultural preservation, education, and inspiration. It serves as a bridge between generations, ensuring that Africa’s stories remain relevant, accessible, and impactful for years to come.

With over 15 years of unique leadership experience, Adesuwa Gina Osawe has a proven track record of executing high-impact projects and campaigns, founding and scaling media ventures, as well as specializing in content development, media production. From “Love Lounge” and “Destinations Africa” on EbonyLife TV to “Hadadun Gari” on Africa Magic Hausa to “SoundBoard” for The TASCK Agency, Adesuwa’s work stands out with clear intention as timeless projects that can be enjoyed by viewers across multiple demographics and generations.

MythX Africa was born from a lifelong love of storytelling and a deep appreciation for the diverse cultures that shaped its creator's journey—from Adesuwa’s background in Kano and Jos in Nigeria to the United States, with roots in the ancient Kingdom of Benin, Sierra Leonean Creole heritage, and Trinidad.

For generations, storytelling has been one of Africa’s most powerful tools for preserving history, culture, values, and identity. Through oral traditions, communities passed down the stories of heroes, heroines, kingdoms, beliefs, and life lessons that helped shape future generations. Today, however, rapid technological change and shifting media habits have created a growing disconnect between young people and these cultural narratives.
