Create a New Product
Create merchandise, add images and variants, price it, and place it in the correct collection.
- Log in to the MythX Africa Printify account and select Catalog from the left-hand menu.
- Choose the product category you want to work with. For this example, select Men, then Sweatshirts.
- Review the available products and compare the product type, model, manufacturer, production cost, colors, and sizes.
- Select the product you want to use and review the material, fit, mockups, and available printing methods such as DTG or Embroidery.
- Review the available print providers and choose one based on location, pricing, available colors, sizes, and production details. Then select Start Designing.
- In the Product Editor, select Variants and choose the garment colors you want to sell. Remove any default colors you do not want.
- Choose a garment color to start with, then upload your artwork or select it from My Library.
- Resize and center the design using the corner controls and alignment guides.
- Select Preview and set the mockup color mode to Realistic so you can see how the product will look.
- If you want to add branding inside the garment, return to Edit, open the Inner Neck Label area, and add the MythX Africa logo or other artwork. Keep in mind that this may slightly increase the production cost.
- Open Preview, scroll to Mockup Backgrounds, and choose the background you want to use.
- Apply the selected mockup background to the front, back, folded, or any other mockups you plan to use.
- Review the design on every garment color.
- If the artwork does not look good on one specific color, select Make a Specific Design for that Color and replace the artwork for only that variant.
- When the product design is complete, select Save Product.
- Review the available product mockups. Remove any unwanted mockups by selecting the X, and add additional mockups if needed.
- Select Save Selection.
- Choose the primary product image by selecting the star on the image you want customers to see first.
- Scroll down to the listing details and enter a clear product title, such as MythX Africa Logo Sweatshirt.
- Review and update the product description. Keep the useful information about the material, fit, construction, and care instructions, and add a short MythX Africa description if needed.
- Leave the existing tags unless you specifically need to add something.
- Leave personalization turned off unless the product is designed to let customers add their own name or other custom information.
- For shipping, leave Automatically Assign and Update Profile if Needed enabled and make sure your Printify store settings are already configured correctly.
- Review the pricing section. The Retail Price is what the customer pays, and the Production Cost is what Printify charges to produce the item.
- Review the estimated profit and profit margin.
- Edit prices individually if needed, or use Edit Price to update all colors and sizes in bulk.
- When you reach the Publish Settings, do not select Hide in Store. Leave the product visible so it appears correctly on the Shopify storefront.
- For Variant Visibility, select Only Show In-Stock Variants and Hide Out-of-Stock Variants.
- Leave all product syncing options checked.
- Open Shopify Collections and add the product to the appropriate collection, such as Tops, Bottoms, Hats, or Accessories.
- If you want the product featured on the homepage, also add it to the Homepage collection.
- If the product is associated with a specific MythX Africa country or hero, add it to the appropriate country collection, such as Ghana, Rwanda, or Togo.
- When everything is complete, select Publish.
- Allow approximately one to two minutes for Printify to sync the product, images, variants, pricing, and collections into Shopify.
- Go to Shopify → Products and confirm that the new product has synced correctly.
- Check the storefront and make sure the product appears in the correct collections and looks the way you expect.
Keep product titles, descriptions, image order, and collection names consistent so the storefront filters stay clean.
